back bay bike ride
Catherine and I rode to backbay and took a glorious bike ride around it. We set out very excited to be outside on such a good day, and ended up very tired- but it was way worth it.I took this picture with my phone, when I was walking up a really steep hill. :)
today was a good day...hope you enjoy the view

just one of those days...
so i want to let you all in on a rather "special" day that i had the other day. our school had city serve- which i helped out at, and when it came time to leave i found out that my car was pranked! I had window paint on every inch of my windows, and to top it off it was hot outside so the paint had dried- which is very hard to get off. The so called culprit or culprits put a number two on my windshield, my only thought is that it had to be 2nd floor of huntington, and the RA was laughing at me, the whole time I was cleaning it off. (i made him pay for a car wash, and pranked his truck later that night).
The story gets better, as I am walking back to get water to wash off the paint, a couple kids at the park get me soaked from water balloons and to top it off i ran away slightly to dodge the last water balloon, slipped and got glass in my knee. Lastly but certainly not least i then got drenched with a water balloon. So i got up from clumsily falling, and began walking away defeated from this whole disaster. But then another kid came and attacked me with a ballon- Kiel seeing my defeat- popped this kids balloon, and the kid turns to me and yells, "i hate you!" kinda made me sad...and yes... icing on the cake for being defeated.
needless to say that was a very "special" day.

bull- sheet
so my roommate and i are sitting on our beds talking and the subject of bed sheets came into the conversation...and we both came to the conclusion that the fitted bed sheet is necessary but the other one is just a way for people to spend more money, and in reality it ends up all twisted and tangeled by the morning anyway. This sheet is "supposed" to keep you "warm." I just dont get the whole point of even having it. do you? I guess that this will just be forever a mystery to us...

Damn ode to my roommates:
a good read
I love to read. (non assigned reading that is). I feel like its a place where I can just relax and forget about the to do lists that I have. Just pausing things for a little while to catch a breath. Its a great way to find out things about yourself as well. Right now Im reading this book titled: Captivating. Its amazing and slowly changing my perspective on things. Things such as how i view others, and how I view myself. The bring up topics that
The authors write from both perspectives, male and female which is really intriguing. I cant wait to get more into the book and see what else the authors have to say.

death B E D
so i have this bed that i got at ikea.. and the process it took to actually get the stupid thing together was a long one. When i first got the bed, it was cracked.. then i had to drive back down to the store and get another one. I opened the new one, thankfully it was in one peice, and began assembling the bed. Has anyone ever seen the instructions from ikea.. its just pictures? who does that? seriously. My roomate and i finally got it put together and it works great.. here is the downside: i think i have hit the stupid corner of the bed about four times now.. and one of my roomates has as well. It just jumps out at you from no where, and then it hurts so bad that your whole leg is throbbing. not fun. :(

broken
Just got some news about one of the kids from the orphanage we visted and it just breaks my heart. I wish there was something that I can do. I feel that the only thing left for me to do is to pray that these children will see God through this situation. My heart is broken for them.

one in a million
Some people know that I went with a team to Tanzania, Africa this summer. It was one of those trips that I will always remember. The people, the food, the smells, the atmosphere.
It was just so different over there, and I loved every minute of it. Being way out of my element and getting the opportunity to experience something totally new was amazing. People were so welcoming and those that had right around nothing, were giving, and hospitable. They greet you with hugs and wish you well. Getting the chance to see God move right before my eyes was one that I am still trying to comprehend. He is an awesome God. Going to Africa has been an experience that I will never forget. Being able to just love on these children, these orphans, and give them an opportunity to be loved and hugged, was fulfilling. I write that because God has called each one of us to care for the orphans and the widows.
It was so good to just give Jesus, in all reality that is all that I had to give. So I did. It was a trip that I wouldn't change for anything. I loved making these children laugh and smile, and finally let others know who they truly are...beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.

inspired
so i have this thing for music... i love it. i find that it is one of those things that lets me connect to others, and especially God.
"How Can I Keep From Singing"
There is an endless song
Echoes in my soul
I hear the music ring
And though the storms may come
I am holding on
To the rock I cling
How can I keep from singing Your praise
How can I ever say enough
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing
I will lift my eyesIn the darkest night
For I know my Savior lives
And I will walk with You
Knowing You'll see me through
And sing the songs You give
I can sing in the troubled times
Sing when I win
I can sing when I lose my step
And fall down again
I can sing 'cause You pick me up
Sing 'cause You're there
I can sing 'cause You hear me, Lord
When I call to You in prayer
I can sing with my last breath
Sing for I know
That I'll sing with the angels
And the saints around the throne
