Word of Fire

by Jason Holdridge and Bethany Dillon
We're needing to hear from You
Word of life come wake the dead within
We're starving to taste Your truth
Breath of God come fill our hearts again

Word of fire fall
Burn through every wall
Standing in the way
Of what You have to say
Spirit take Your sword
Slay the flesh that fights
We're listening for Your voice
We're looking for Your light

Please do not pass us by
Speak the word that makes all darkness flee
Let your annointing fall
Loose our chains and set Your children free

Word of fire fall
Burn through every wall
Standing in the way
Of what You have to say
Spirit take Your sword
Slay the flesh that fights
We're listening for Your voice
We're looking for Your light

This was a great and relaxing weekend. I was able to spend a whole day with my best friend from high school... which was needed, babysit for a family that i love and a little girl that melts your heart, and spend some quality time with my roommates and floor sons. It dawned on me that I am so blessed to have all these amazing people in my life. I love hanging out with each one of them, and God has blessed my life by allowing me to get to know all of them.
Have you ever wondered why certain people are in your life, or how they got to be in your life? I have... and its amazing (when it finally hits you) to understand why God has put this person in the middle of your path. When you do realize why you are overcome wtih so much joy and awe for the one who Created you.

I have been reading this book titled "Crazy Love" and it has been a huge reminder of how small I am and how marvelous and mighty God is. While reading this book it hit me over the head that the things in this life that we deal with, that we think are just so demanding end up being so insignificant when compared to the Majesty of out King. It blows my mind to think that the same one who created the universe, knows exactly how many hairs are on my head, knows what I am thinking, the grain of sand on the beach, created the entire universe, and yet still has time for me and calls me by name. That in itself is BREATHTAKING. I serve a mighty God.
